Writing a long term plan for your property is a difficult business, but contains many rewards. It can:

• Clarify your vision and purposes


• Help to identify long term goals and short term objectives


• Give you a working plan and timeline to follow


• Give you an idea of your "gaps" in knowledge or need, and therefore give you directions for your research.


• Possibly help in obtaining financial aid through county and government programs.  Many assistance programs require that you have a management plan written before applying.
